C Comments

Used to provide additional information in the source code.
They are ignored by the compiler.
There are two ways to add a comment

  1. Single-line Comments (//)
  2. Multi-line Comments (/* */)

Single-line Comments

Used for keeping short comments in a single line .
Start's with // and extends till end of the line.

Example
#include <stdio.h>

int main() {
    // This is a single-line comment
    int x = 5; // Variable declaration
    
    return 0;
}

Multi-line Comments

Used for keeping linger comments that span multiple lines.
Start's with /* and end with */.

Example
#include <stdio.h>

int main() {
    /*
    This is a multi-line comment.
    It can span multiple lines.
    */
    int y = 10;

    return 0;
}
